Hisham is a bilingual (Arabic and English) senior lawyer with over twelve years’ experience in the UAE working with corporate/commercial law firms (Roedl Meyer-Reumann Me & Partners) and UAE advocates (Emirates Advocates) as well as heading up the legal department of an investment group.  He has considerable experience with (a) litigation in the UAE Courts including court procedures related to civil, commercial, labor, criminal, real estate rent cases (b) general corporate agreements and UAE company matters such as board resolutions, SPAs, joint ventures etc. and (c) real estate matters involving real estate regulatory authorities, municipalities and other related UAE government entities.

Selected representative roles and matters: 

• Head of Section for Etisalat - handling all legal matters of one of the largest corporations in UAE including more than 3000 lawsuits at the Dubai Courts (involved in preparing, registering and filing lawsuits, attending and advising on lawsuit hearings, registering and handling the execution procedures, preparing and submitting necessary applications, inquisitions letters, notifications and summons, publications, guidance, submitting requests, drafting and sending legal notices to debtors, etc).
• Advising in regards to litigation strategy and court procedures, including researching related UAE laws and court judgements spanning civil, commercial, labor, criminal, and companies law matters, and supervising and managing UAE advocates prepare submissions and conduct hearings in UAE Courts.
• For Etisalat, reviewing, translating and advising on contracts and other documents, handling correspondence with clients (in Arabic and English).
• Handling and advising on UAE incorporations (offshore, free zones, branch, agencies and mainland companies).
• Handling real estate rent disputes, reviewing and advising on real estate documents including purchase agreements, escrow agreements, government forms, etc.
